Yoga and Ayurveda approaches to the menopause
Yoga and Ayurveda can be helpful in offering practical options for self-care. If we look at an individual – her constitution, symptoms and the ways in which she responds to change, we can see that the one-size-fits-all approach of modern medicine to women’s health is unhelpful. This is particularly true at the Menopause – a time of transition in a woman’s life which is least researched or prepared for. Sue aims to bring a positive perspective to the issues around menopause.
The workshop will include practical solutions for diet, lifestyle and exercise that will aid self-care. By the end of the session, attendees may understand how Yoga and Ayurveda view life changes. This may help them to feel more at ease with the process of menopause.
