Introduction to Mindfulness

In these difficult and uncertain times, it is all too easy to get caught up in collective fear and anxiety. Mindfulness teaches us to find a sense of stillness and stability in the midst of even the most challenging of circumstances. It enables us to make wiser choices about how we can respond intelligently to difficulties, rather than being blown away by them. Many Yoga teachers already have their own meditation practice. Some do not, and others perhaps find it hard to teach meditation to students. The simplicity and evidence-based structure of Mindfulness makes for a powerful and agile tool which compliments our Yoga practices. It offers a safe space in which to move forward with a contemplative practice, exploring and healing our relationship with ourselves. It also provides a secure foundation for the exploration of other more traditional meditative traditions.

This course starts on 11th May 2021 and consists of 4 x 1 hour sessions (every Monday at 7pm for four weeks.)

“Learning from Miranda is a privilege: she has a wealth of experience and knowledge of mindfulness practice, supported by her expertise both as a doctor and yoga teacher. I know that I can rely on her to guide me safely, gently and kindly through the practice. The four week introductory course is more than an introduction, it offers practical suggestions to begin to work with mindfulness in an accessible and effective way. If you are looking for a mindfulness course, look no further.” – Zoe Herington
