Beacons and Garlands session 1: Imbolc
An inquiry in yoga through seasonal cycles and Celtic festivals. An online series with the option of in-person retreats. Beacons and Garlands is a re-examination of yoga practice today, celebrating our life as intimately intertwined with the planet we share.
Session 1; Earth, support, first stirrings. Repoussé.
The project will run at roughly 6-weekly intervals through 2025, coinciding with cycling of the Earth around the Sun, and four Celtic festivals: Imbolc – Spring Equinox – Bealtaine – Summer Solstice – Lughnasa – Autumn Equinox – Samhain – Winter Solstice The series consists of eight meetings on Zoom, of 3 hours each, with the option of in-person retreats at the Burren Yoga Retreat Centre to complement the online work. The Zoom series is conceived as a single entity, but you do have the option of signing up for single sessions if that works better for you. All sessions will be recorded and the link sent round afterwards to everyone who has enrolled. No need to attend all sessions in real time, though I hope to encourage a sense of commitment to a year-long journey. This project represents the evolution of my Yoga for Changing Times series, exploring what it is to be human, now. Beacons and Garlands is open to anyone with curiosity to explore deeply, playfully and creatively. We will tap into our innate intelligence and learn from each other.
Cost: €320/£266 for all 8 sessions or €45/£38 per session.
