Yoga for Transformation
We were delighted and felt very privileged to have Gary Kraftsow as our in-person plenary speaker this year at our annual convention. What a fantastic time we had.
Gary has been a renowned innovator in the field of yoga therapy and the transmission of yoga for health, healing,
and personal transformation for over 40 years. He began his study of yoga in Madras with TKV Desikachar in 1974, while working towards a degree in Religious Studies, and received a Viniyoga Special Diploma from Viniyoga International in Paris, France, in 1988.
Around 1983, he opened the Maui School of Yoga Therapy. In 1999, he founded the American Viniyoga Institute, LLC. Since then, he has become a renowned speaker and teacher at many conferences and schools in the US and internationally. He is the author of Yoga for Wellness (published in 1999) and Yoga for Transformation (published in 2002), as well as numerous DVDs, CDs and Digital Workshops. He is based in Oakland, California. Yoga for Transformation
Our Annual Conventions are a wonderful opportunity for teachers and students alike to learn from a hugely experienced teacher.
We were also joined by many inspiring aYs teachers for a varied selection of workshops as well as delightful morning practices.
As well as the great learning on offer it is also the chance to meet with old friends and make new ones, it is always a warm and welcoming environment!
