Synopsis:
A layman's guide to some of the main Hindu scriptures eg the main Upanisads, the Gita and more.
Review:
Much Hindu scripture seemed somewhat unfathomable to me. The plethora of metaphor and cultural reference can make for very heavy going. This book clarified many things which I had tried but failed to read with understanding. I can recommend it if, like me, you want a better understanding of the Upanisads and so on but have struggled so far.

I fully agree with Rich.
I fully agree with Rich. This is an excellent book. It is clearly written, and makes you feel that even difficult texts (as the upanishads can be at times) can be opened out and understood.
It is an excellent book also on the Bhagavad Gita, for the same reasons.
