Hatha Yoga Study Course
Hatha Yoga Study Course 15-17 June 2012, 7-9 Sept, 16-18 Nov, 1-3 Feb 2013
with Ranju Roy & Dave Charlton
Primarily for qualified Viniyoga teachers.
A chance to considerably enrich our understanding of yoga with an in-depth study of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and how to link this text both to our teaching and practice. Over 4 weekends, we will explore the main themes of Hatha Yoga and this text in particular, comparing these ideas with those of the Yoga Sutra..
This is an opportunity to get to grips with the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and explore its roots and connections with alchemy. Hatha Yoga is frequently misunderstood and this course will seek to decode the Hatha Yoga tradition whilst making practical links to the teaching situation of most western Yoga teachers
Timing: 6pm Friday - 4pm Sunday.
The cost of each weekend is £165 for tuition. Accommodation and meals can be arranged directly with Emmaus House as required (www.emmaushouse.org.uk), or there are many other accommodation options available locally.
There will also be some time devoted to reviewing some of the issues arising from the teaching of yoga; supervision sessions, sharing our understandings and considering aspects of our profession, our tradition and its contemporary application.
To reserve a place please send a £165 non-returnable deposit to Sadhana Mala, Haywain Cottage, Priestfields, Hanley Castle, Worcester, WR8 0AH. This will be offset against the cost of the last weekend. For further details call Ranju on 01823 275766.
